Different Types of Monitor Splitters for Computers, Laptops and TVs

The requirements of surveillance and monitoring in various organizations and control centers are complete with monitor splitters, which enable display of video signals from several sources into a single monitor or display device. VGA splitter is known to be the basic model of a monitor splitter. Several other models such as; DVI splitter, Quad splitter, HDMI splitter, S-video splitter, component splitter, etc are the most common and popular splitters. SVGA splitter transmits signals from a PC to analog monitors. Various versions such as 2 port, 4 ports, 8, and 16 ports are also available in monitor splitters.

The bandwidth supported is up to 400MHZ. The monitor splitter similar to that of the ethernet splitter, literally splits the signals in the input end. However in the other end the operation is a bit different. Where the monitor splitters amplify each to the original resolution. The resolution is up to 1920 x 1440 @ 60Hz.  Various other resolutions like; UXGA, SVGA, VGA, WUXGA, etc. are also supported. The final video output is as high in quality as the original video source.

A VGA splitter supports DDC2B, DDC2, DDC, protocol and is compliant of RoHS and is very compact in design with LED indicators of power input. Whereas, on the other hand, a HDMI splitter is a device acts as booster of signals and this prevents degradation of the video signals that are relayed to a higher group of display units and hence are very useful in various organizations.

Quad Splitters are the very recent version of splitters that operate in 4 different display modes. PIP mode, dual mode, Quad mode, and full screen mode. In each mode, the display screen is split into one, two, three, or four parts.

The component splitter lets single component of video display to be displayed in to multiple components by splitting them. The component video signals are simultaneously distributed to various devices without any loss in the signals. It supports high resolution of video signals of up to 480i, 720p, 1080i, 1080p, etc., and has a bandwidth of about 700MHZ.
