Logitech Alto Cordless review
Even if it is an old laptop stand, Logitech Alto Cordless notebook stand is still in production for a good reason: it looks good and does the job rather nice. It is a laptop stand with a full-size classic keyboard, wireless attached and it’s very useful when using a laptop as a desktop PC and like more to use a classic keyboard.
The design is sober
It is easy to install the Logitech Alto Cordless stand because there’s no need to use a driver. It is as easy as you don’t need to read the user’s manual. All you have to do is to fix the stand in the work position, to connect it to the notebook through the USB plug and than to pair the stand with the keyboard. Alto will elevate your laptop display to the perfect viewing height which eliminates stress on the back and arms. Its wireless keyboard is easy to type and comfortable having a rubberized palm rest and silent keys. One of the Alto’s weak point could be that ports on the front of your notebook became inaccessible, but if you need USB ports for using a mouse, speakers or a printer there are three on the back side.
This is how it works
I use this laptop stand and I am pleased with it, even if it is not the best. It was great for my needs. I even use it when lying in bed with my laptop, but I had to turn it around 180 degrees, plus the laptop sits horizontally supported by the front edge of Logitech Alto Cordless. This setup offers the advantage of better cooling because of the airflow that goes beneath the laptop. It is not perfectly ergonomic because the screen isn’t elevated to your eyes level like when you use it on a desk, but at least your lap isn’t wormed up.

- inclination can’t be adjusted
- front ports of your laptop become unusable when docked
