Asus NX90Jq Laptop Overview

Product Description
There are two models in the NX90 series, namely the NX90Jq and NX90Jn with the former being the higher end model. It is quite lightweight and is one of the best mini laptop with plenty of features. Along with the laptop, you find charging points which can fit well into any international socket. It has a very trendy design which is aesthetically appealing and made of polished aluminum which gives it a mirror like look. There are white lights at the bottom of the device for HDD use.

This mini laptop computer has a built-in microphone and webcam. The video quality is exceptional and HD 1080p videos are played clearly. There are keys present above the keyboard which control the volume and give a good visual interface. Speakers by Bang & Olufsen ICEpower project sideways from the laptop. Two vertical towers are placed far apart as speakers to give good resonance and audio quality. There are 2 trackpads on either side of the keyboard and are important when using the Rotation Desktop control application. It gives users a DJ like experience by allowing the control of multimedia content.

The Good
It has dual hard drive bays whereby you can choose to load one with a solid state drive and the other one can be loaded with a high capacity 7200 rpm drive.

The Bad
Though the exterior is very attractive, it attracts a lot of fingerprints. The lights given for power on/off are not labeled. The laptop is difficult to pick up from the sides as the projecting speakers hinder picking from the underside. The keyboard does not have a very tactile feel and the layout of the hotkeys is a little confusing. The graphics solution is not much and is not fit for playing the latest games.

The Bottom Line
The Asus NX90Jq is a perfect designer laptop with good graphics performance.
