3 Tips To Finding The Right Laptop For You
If your like me and your searching for the best brand laptop you might be thinking that it could be fairly simple, but it’s a lot tougher than that. Their are a lot of things you need to consider before you buy.
What is the purpose. First you have to consider the purpose of the laptop. If you are a sales agent and your on the road a lot you may need a laptop that is more business oriented. However if your someone who is retired and takes vacation you may want something that is more compact and has extra features such as a built in web cam.
So before you even start looking take a few minutes and decide just what exactly this laptop is going to be used for.
Big or Small. Next you need to consider how big is big and how small is small. For example I know a guy who is a computer programmer and he needs a laptop with a big screen, at least 17 inches or better or the print will be to small and hurt his eyes. On the other hand I know another friend who travels a lot and needs something for just checking his emails and web surfing. In this case something as small as a netbook with a 10 inch screen will do.

Perfect laptop: myth or reality?
Decide what kind of activities you’re going to be doing on your laptop, is it just checking emails and web surfing or are you planning to do stuff that requires a lot of detail. Also think about the weight as well. A bigger laptop will be more bulky while a smaller one such as a netbook can be carried almost anywhere.
It never hurts to browse through HP, Lenovo, and Dell laptop deals, before you settle on a specific model, as many manufacturers have similar offerings for less cost.
Power. Finally, one of the last things you need to consider is the amount of power you are going to need. If you are doing things that take up a lot CPU power and resources your going to need a computer with a strong processor, while on the other hand if your just doing the small things like email you may be able to get by on a less powerful processor. In fact one of the best tips to saving money on a laptop is to buy one with a less powerful CPU. Laptops with multiple and more powerful CPUs will cost a lot more.
So decide how much power is your computer going to need, are you doing something that needs a ton of processing power or can you get by on very little. Also consider how much hard drive space you will need. Hard drives have gone down in price considerably, in fact my netbook came with a 250 gig drive.
In the end consider these 3 tips while your shopping around for a laptop. Also know that technology is always changing so what you buy today is eventually going to be outdated tomorrow, but that’s just how things go when it comes to technology.
